- 1997Shin Shin Educational Foundation (SSEF) was established in San Francisco, CA.
- 1998The first five Shin Shin schools were built, and one of them was in Heilongjiang.
- 1999Officially registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in California USA.
- 2001Mr. David Tsang as President and Mr. Bingming Zhu as Chairman, SSEF was in a fast development.
- 2004100 Shin Shin schools were completed.
- 2005Mr. Sandy Chau as President and David Tsang as Chairman, 200 Shin Shin schools were completed. Began a pilot training program for English Teachers.
- 2006Partnered with the Soar Foundation in scholarship program. Organized English teachers training in Hunan.
- 2007300 Shin Shin schools were completed. Began to implement the “One Book Per Child” literacy program.
- 2008Organized the first reading and essay contest.
- 2009Began the “Reading Room” program. Started the Summer University Outreach programs.
- 2010Mr. Steve Ting served as the 3rd President. Began computer teachers training.
- 2013The Beijing Representative Office was approved by the Chinese government. Appointed Ms. Qing Bai as the Representative.
- 2014Started the first Shin Shin Principals Training. Established Endowment Fund.
- 2015Mr. Wen Yuan served as the 4th President. Established Shin Shin Youth Group. Appointed Mr. Steve Ting as the Representative in Beijing.
- 2018Mr. Steve Ting served as the Chairman and Ms. Yiqing Yang became the 5th President. Shin Shin and all the volunteers won the 10th China Charity Model Award from the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
- 2019SSEF’s Beijing Representative Office’s business supervisory unit was transferred from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council to the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; SSEF and all volunteers won the 2018 Global Overseas Chinese Person of the Year Award from China News; SSEF won the Sichuan Provincial Government’s first public welfare and charity award for “Overseas Chinese rejuvenating Sichuan”.
- 2021SSEF was honored “Best Overseas Chinese Team in Helping Poverty Alleviation”
- 2022Celebrated the 25th anniversary; A Shin Shin school was built in Hebei for the first time. The total number of schools reached 300 in 26 provinces and regions.
